Hello, my name is Ģirts Dubults (he/she/they).
I am a choreographer, interdisciplinary artist and researcher from Latvia.
My artistic practice is informed by transgender bodies and spans dance, text and compassion.
In addition to contemporary dance,
I work with photography, video and personal objects to create performances where embodied experience,
vulnerability, and human presence are important.

Shame ceases to exist and neglected femininity appears.
I enjoy to work with communities and engage in collaborative
processes, where participants are invited to reflect on themselves and their surroundings.

I have developed an artistic research LipSync*.
It is based on synchronization of lips - a technical term for matching a speaking or singing person's lip movements with sung or spoken vocals.
Mostly LipSync* manifests as a choreographic tool fostering kindness as a response to dehumanization.
I will receive a MFA in "Choreography" from the Stockholm University of the Arts in June 2026.
