Ģirts Dubults (he, she, they) is a choreographer and performance artist. Currently they are based in (between) Stockholm and Rīga. In Latvia Ģirts has mostly engaged in artistic creation together with contemporary dance collective "SIXTH". Ģirts has received a Bachelor of Social Science (Riga Stradins University "International Relations", 2016) and Bachelor of Arts in Humanities (Latvian Academy of Culture "Contemporary Dance", 2021) . More recently, in 2024 Ģirts completed Creators programme at "La Faktoria" Choreographic Center in Pamplona, Spain, where they were lucky enough to experience workshops by inspiring artists - Vera Mantero, Martin Nachbar, "Los Informals" and others. Now she is studying MA "Choreography" in Stockholm University of the Arts, where his artistic research revolves around LipSync* (synchronization of lips) as a practice of compassion and recognition.
